i hates t3h interwebs

...But really folks. I do not consider myself special or anything here, so when I spend all day evaluating products online with intent to buy, I like to find quality information.

I can't believe how few 'big' companies offer real info on their sites. It suddenly makes sense why Daniel is doing the consulting. I would say that 60% of the industrial and tehcnology-related sited I visited today could not offer the info I wanted without a phone call or an email. And with time zones, and respond times, like, what gives?

Tips to an awesome useful site:

Cleanliness.
Small about/history section
Big Contact us button w/ location
Clearly define products under a products button and include photos.
Clearly define services under a services button, also with pics.
List some prices. sheesh.
Have a date with the last time the site was updated too.

/rant, heading home in the ridiculous ice storm thats pseudo-raging outside.
